The Detour

​They say Fall is the season of letting go
To release what is heavy and learn to flow
Of reflection, transformation and taking it slow
To appreciate the journey that allowed you to grow 

When we silence the critic and drop the wall
Quite often we find the armour will fall
We can release the desire for expectation 
And find space and ease in meditation 

Taking time to feel grounded, quiet and still
To notice the shift when you surrender your will
You sense changes through the echo or pause
Feel attuned to what the transition may cause

Sometimes you wonder will this ever occur 
As it leads to an unexpected path or detour
It Illuminates a new way forward and bears witness 
To a profound change in your perspective and existence
