Chair yoga offers a diverse array of benefits, spanning from enhancing balance, mobility, and strength to reducing stress and fostering mindfulness of breath and body. This comprehensive program equips participants with the necessary expertise to effectively teach inclusive and secure classes tailored for individuals recuperating from injuries or surgeries, as well as those with mobility limitations or physical constraints. Through a blend of theoretical understanding, hands-on practice, and modification techniques specific to chair yoga, attendees will gain both confidence and proficiency. With dedicated in-class sessions for practice and structured homework assignments leading to certification, this program ensures a thorough grasp of chair yoga principles. Moreover, it cultivates a supportive environment within a group setting, empowering participants to confidently lead chair yoga sessions within their communities or guide informal practices at home among family and friends.

Course includes training, manual, practicum and certificate. This 15 hour immersive course is for yoga teachers, dedicated students, fitness instructors for active adults, healthcare and wellness professionals.
This course counts towards 15 continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance. Tracy is a YACEP.
